The Snail and the Whale & The Smartest Giant in Town – Julia Donaldson [EN]

Set sail on a breathtaking journey with The Snail and the Whale Tonie, inspired by the much-loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. This beautifully narrated Tonie invites children into an adventurous world filled with friendship, courage, and the wonders of our planet.

The story follows a tiny, determined sea snail who dreams of exploring the vast, wide world. Longing for adventure beyond her rock, she writes a message on the shore—and to her amazement, a giant, gentle humpback whale answers her call. Together, the unlikely pair travels across oceans, past icy mountains, through golden sands, and into beautiful underwater worlds.

But when the whale is washed onto a beach and unable to return to sea, it’s up to the smallest creature of all to save her gigantic friend. With bravery, quick thinking, and the help of a local school, the snail proves that even the tiniest voice can make a powerful difference.

This Tonie combines enchanting storytelling with gentle soundscapes, encouraging imagination while teaching important themes of friendship, environmental awareness, teamwork, and believing in yourself. Perfect for bedtime, calm listening moments, and family story time, it’s a magical addition to any Toniebox.
